Too often, people with Down syndrome can be seen through a diagnosis before they are seen as an individual. But a chromosome can never tell you who someone is — their personality, talents, interests, humour, dreams, relationships or the contribution they make to the world around them.
Be Worth Knowing is a reminder to look beyond assumptions and get to know the person.
And our personalised version takes that message one step further. Replace “Be” with a name — “Lincoln Worth Knowing”, “Sophie Worth Knowing”, “Trent Worth Knowing” — and suddenly it becomes a statement about someone very real.
Because people with Down syndrome aren’t worth knowing despite their diagnosis. They are simply worth knowing.
