What is the Application Fee for?

Your application fee plays a crucial role in securing your place in the upcoming 2025 book and contributes significantly to covering the initial expenses associated with our editing and design processes. It's important to understand that the production of our books incurs substantial costs, exceeding $70,000. It's worth noting that we are not funded by the government; instead, we operate as a small, dedicated team, consisting of approximately five individuals, with the majority of the work being handled by just two team members. We strive to handle as much as possible within our skill set to save costs effectively. Your support through the application fee is invaluable in making our mission possible.

Additionally, you will receive a FREE photoshoot, which can be valued at over $500 by some of our photographers. Your family will also have a FULL page dedicated to them.

You will have the option to purchase books once we launch in March 2025. With your first purchase, you will receive two extra copies for FREE. This is to ensure that our books are distributed to medical professionals and  education sectors  (preschool, primary or high school, or your local library), which contributes to our mission.

Do I Have a Guaranteed Spot in the Book as an Applicant?

Yes, being an applicant does secure you a place in the book. However, there are limited spots available for each age group. To ensure your spot, please submit your application form within 7 days of paying your fee. Failure to do so will result in an automatic refund without follow-up, so please don't delay!

Every applicant will receive a full page in the book and a complimentary photoshoot with a minimum of 6 images from the session gifted to them. If you have more than one family member with Down syndrome and want each of them to have a dedicated page, please purchase two application fees and complete two application forms. This will also guarantee two photo sessions.

Printathon (Art Gallery and Fundraising "Sponsorship" for Books and Gift Packs)

Each applicant will have a sponsorship button and the chance to work towards achieving the highest sponsorship amount. In addition to being featured in the book, this opens up the opportunity to be part of our TOP 100 Art Gallery (must hit target of $700 to qualify) and potentially claim the TOP spot, TOP 3, and/or TOP 21 prizes. If you prefer not to have a sponsorship button and forgo the chance to be in the Art Gallery, please inform us via email.

The Printathon will run from May 24, 2024, to August 24, 2024. Sponsor buttons will be available in our online shop under 'PRINTATHON,' displaying your first and last name. Please note that we are a social enterprise, and sponsorships cannot be claimed at tax time as we don't have DGR.
